- According to their innate talent and aptitude students join any one of the various clubs. There are clubs of varied interests: debate club, music club, dance club, oration club, nature club and clubs for various sports and games like cricket, football, volleyball etc.
Moral Training – Queen’s School
- Moral education is imparted to all irrespective of caste or creed. This helps in grooming a generation who love their country and fellow men. The Gandhian concept of education for the hand and heart is put into practice by upholding the nobility of manual work along with that of moral rectitude and intellectual achievement. Great emphasis is laid on values of discipline, regularity, punctuality, cleanliness, moral courage and truthfulness.
Psychological Counseling – Queen’s School
- All students are assessed in their intellectual and emotional quotient through scientific procedures in order get an idea of their inherent potential. So that specific efforts are made to translate this potential into performance. Students with personal problems are helped and cared for by teachers skilled in counseling. Parents are kept regularly informed about the performance of their children. Training Programmers for parents are conducted occasionally in order to enable them to assist their wards on one-to-one basis.
Academic Advisors
Selected faculty members serve as academic advisers to help guide students through their education at Queen’s and beyond. Advisors discuss all the topics of school work with the students including student assessment, class selection, preparation for semesters / school years. These meetings also give students the opportunity to discuss areas where they may need help. As students move to higher classes, regularly scheduled meetings with advisors help them to identify their interests and plan for further education and selected careers.
Students are required to meet with their assigned advisor in the academic year and the frequency of meetings increases with the grade level. Parent attendance at these meetings is encouraged.
Student Counseling:
- Queen’s counseling programme is designed to enhance independence and confidence and encourage optimal learning of both academic and life skills. It ensures an environment that is inspiring and rewarding by implementing research-based, effective programmes that create awareness and prevent problems such as bullying or teasing.
- Counseling is achieved through interactive skill building sessions on core life skills such as confidence, communication, decision making, conflict resolution, team work and leadership, manners and etiquette, goal setting, etc.
- Family counseling is provided to identified students who need help. All teachers are trained in identifying learning disabilities and behavioral disorders in students.
Special Education:
Queen’s school focuses on the holistic development of each child. We believe that each child is unique. Some children can reach to their potential on their own; some will get there with support through counselling and special one-to-one attention.
The department organizes monthly workshops for teachers to identify and manage students that have and require special needs.
We also focus on age related issues, emotional and behavioural challenges faced by students at all age levels and provide counseling services either individually or in group depending on the need. The department also conducts quarterly seminars for parents on issues related to parenting.
Houses:
To develop leadership qualities, self-reliance and team spirit, students are grouped under different houses, distinguished by the names which signify their ideals. The house system provides a good platform for the holistic development of the students. It forms the basis of all competitions and promotes team spirit, group loyalty and healthy competition. The students are divided into four houses.

General Activities – Queen’s School
- As a healthy personality also demands physical well being, we have various clubs to attain this objective for all our children. The Clubs which are organized at Queen’s are Drama, Dance, Classic music, Art and Craft, Vocal music, Fashion designing, Home management and outdoor games like Cricket, Volley ball, Basket, ball, Hand ball, kho-Kho,Kabaddi, Skatting and so on.
- Academic qualification alone does not make an individual truly educated. Therefore through the multitude of extra curricular programme like planting trees, gardening, participating in rallies etc, the school provides the students very opportunity for all-round growth and development.
Parent Teacher Association – Queen’s School
- Parents and teachers are the architects of the student’s life. The PTA of the school provides a platfrom for parents and teachers to meet and chalk out best course of action as per the requirements of every students.
- Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation :- The development of a child’s personality is not just mono dimensional but is also broadly classified as tetra dimensional viz. Intellectual Development Physical Development Socio-Emotional Development Spiritual / Moral Development Therefore the evaluation of development of these aspects of personality is also essential.
Tours & Field Trips – Queen’s School
- Students are taken on field trips, which are organized according to the subject and need. Picnics and excursions to gain feet-on-the ground experience and understanding Nature are routinely organized. The students are required to take care of themselves during these trips and they thus learn to find for themselves, become more confident, self disciplined and independent.
