PARENTS SHALL PLEASE ENSURE THAT:

- Fees are paid on scheduled dates
- Children attend school in the prescribed school uniform.
- Children give enough time at home for lessons and assignments.
- Required books and learning material is brought regularly to class.
- Apart from taking interest in the academic work of the school, parents must also encourage their children to take part in co-curricular and extramural activities organised for the benefit of the children.
- Critical remarks about teachers should carefully be avoided in the presence of the children as this will cause loss of respect for one’s teachers and authorities. Parents should discuss such matters with the principal.
- Any complaints from parents about the staff or school functioning must be brought to the notice of the principal or manager and not to the staff concerned.
- Parents are strongly advised not to miss the parent-teacher meetings arranged during the course of the academic year.
- Parents are earnestly requested to sign the progress reports or any similar documents when so requested. Failure to do so may put their children and teachers to great inconvenience.
- Parents are hereby informed that daily reports about their ward, if any, from the school about conduct and studies are conveyed through the daily dairy. Parents are expected to take note of these reports and messages with their counter-signature.
- Parents, guardians or other persons are never allowed to meet the students or teachers during class-hours at the door of classrooms. In emergencies they may contact and meet the principal with prior appointment or on prescribed timings.
- Teachers may regularly be contacted on Saturdays from 2.00 pm to 2.40 pm.
- Private tuitions are strongly discouraged. The school may recommend one-to-one assistance to a certain student in truly deserving cases. Only then, after consulting the principal, parents may take help of private coaching. They are advised that members of the staff of the school should not be engaged as private tutors for their children without the written permission of the principal.
- Parents and guardians are requested to notify the school office in writing of any change either in their postal address or their telephone numbers.
- Entrusting a pupil to the school implies that parents agree to stand by the rules and regulations of the school and that they should see that children also abide by the school regulations.
TESTS/EXAMINATIONS:
As per school norms Hall tickets for all terminal examinations and tests with random examination numbers shall be issued to all students, who have paid their fee instalment and other dues in time.
Tests/ examinations cannot be deferred or anticipated to suit individual convenience. No re-examination will be conducted for any subject.
Absence or exemption from any subject in any examination excludes the student from being reckoned in order of merit.
Perfect order and discipline should be maintained during examinations and tests. Any malpractice, even if discovered later shall be seriously dealt with.
INFIRMARY:
For providing first-aid to students who fall sick in the school premises, the school houses a well equipped infirmary. A trained person is always there to render service to sick students
If a child becomes unwell during the day, the parents may be asked to collect the child as soon as they can.
SPEAKING ENGLISH:
SPEAKING IN ENGLISH IS COMPULSORY at all times at the school, in the school premises, in the school bus and at the bus stops while waiting to board the bus. Not speaking in English is viewed as an offence because English is the medium of instruction and proficiency in language is necessary for proper academic development.
ATTENDANCE:
As regular attendance is an important element for successful school work, no student should absent himself/herself from class without serious and unavoidable reasons.
Parents/guardians must state clearly the reason for the absence. Failure to do so invalidates the application and renders the student liable to punishment.
Normally half-day attendance is not allowed for students. Once they come to school they have to be present the whole day. They are not allowed to go out of the school campus during school hours including recess time.
In case of serious illness the principal must be informed within five days with a doctor’s certificate and prescription attached to the application from the parent/guardian.
Those who return to school after absenting themselves without prior permission, shall not enter the class without the sanction of the principal.
Students suffering from contagious or infectious diseases shall not be permitted to attend the school. The principal should be informed before the student attends the class after the recovery from such diseases.
Unauthorized absence for more than 15 days renders a student liable to be removed from the rolls and the usual admission fee shall be charged if he/she is to be readmitted.
No student who comes late shall enter the class without obtaining the signature of the PRO.
No student shall be sent with a relative/stranger unless a responsible person comes to fetch him/her with a note of authorization from his/her parent/guardian.
RULES FOR DISCIPLINE:
Discipline is an integral part of the learning process. If a student has to develop self-control he/she must be trained to bridle his/her emotions and impulses, thereby enabling him/her to live in harmony with others, to respect the traditions of his/her family and to keep the laws of the country.
All the students shall make themselves acquainted with the rules and regulations notified for their conduct by reading the rule book for students. Ignorance of the rules shall not be accepted as an excuse for their violation.
Students should be polite and courteous and greet their teachers, elders and other respectable persons when they meet them. They should also greet one another.
Discourtesy and disrespect to the members of the school staff in any form will be viewed seriously and students responsible for such misbehaviour are liable to be dismissed.
Every student shall endeavour to keep up the high standard and morale of the school by excelling in studies and good manners.
Students should realize that they are responsible to the authorities of the school not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behaviour outside also.
All the students shall be in the school premises at least five minutes before the morning bell. At the first warning bell, all shall gather, in silence, at the specified place for the morning assembly. Prayers must be said with due respect and devotion. After the assembly all should go in an orderly manner to their respective classrooms.
All shall remain silent and study till the teacher comes to the class. When the teacher enters the class room, the pupil greet him/her respectfully.
Students shall keep silence and decorum in the classes. During the absence of a teacher, they shall not leave their classroom, or their seats; neither shall they make noise. The class leader must report such matters to the principal.
Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is not allowed. When passing along the corridors during class hours, students shall keep silence.
No student shall enter any classroom other than his/her own without permission. They may change their places in the classroom only with the permission of the class teacher.
Students should learn to cherish sweet memories of their school life with love and gratitude and speak positively for their school.
Reading material like books, newspapers, periodicals, comics etc. may not be brought to the school without the previous sanction of the class teacher. Film magazines, pornographic books and such items are not allowed in the school campus. Transistor radios, electronic equipment etc. should not be brought to the school.
No collection of any kind shall be made in the class. All collection of funds if required must be done through the accounts office only.
No meeting, party, picnic or extra class or any kind of organized school activity shall be arranged without the approval of the principal.
It is not advisable for students to have too much money or expensive watches, ornaments, fountain pens etc, in their possession. The school authorities will not be responsible for the loss of such articles.
Students shall be responsible for the safe custody of their belongings. As a precautionary measure it is suggested that they have their names inscribed on articles like lunch boxes, umbrellas and school bags etc.
The school authorities shall not be responsible for the loss of articles of students and for any injury or loss of life that might happen accidentally.
Children should be courteous, good mannered and well disciplined in the vans. All are expected to speak in English in the vans.
Seating arrangement should be strictly followed.
After getting off the vans, children should wait till the van moves again. They should be very cautious and see that they cross the road only after the van has left the stop so that accidents can be avoided.
Students who cause any damage to school property shall have to pay penalty that shall be fixed by the principal.
